
Coming in as only the second video game inductee (Atari being the first), the Nintendo Game Boy joins into the U.S. National Toy Hall of Fame with 44 other toys. I think the Game Boy (including the GB color and all its other incarnations) are well deserving of this award as it pretty much launched the second most successful game franchise of all time, Pokemon. I still have my grape Game Boy Color along with the link cable that was necessary to trade Pokemon between consoles. Yeah that’s right youngins, we didn’t have wi-fi. I should still have my original Game Boy at home somewhere, but I haven’t seen it in a couple of years.
