It’s been renamed from Eureka Seven: Pocketful of Rainbows to Eureka Seven: good night, sleep tight, young lovers and it will show in regular theatres for ONE NIGHT ONLY on September 24th at 7:30 pm. The short viewing opportunity is no doubt an exchange for the film being shown in a surprisingly wide amount of theatres. There’s definitely more than 100 on the list, so most fans should be able to get to see it. I wish that the Eva 1.0 film had been released like this, but there’s so much uncertainty in getting large crowds out to see anime films in America. The Eureka Seven movie will probably be a test and distributors will be looking toward the results in order to make future decisions. If things go well, maybe they’d consider bringing the upcoming Eden of the East movies over. Maybe, maybe?
Tickets for the Eureka Seven movie go on sale August 21st.
